It All Depends On Your Readers!
Our world is incredibly advanced and we are able to connect
in ways we never could before.
We have options and resources available to us that make life easier in many ways.
However, technology can only do so much!
The marvels of today's world allows me the ability to publish my works without the assistance of a literary agent or publishing house.
That is really cool and I'm grateful for that, but there are drawbacks to this as well.
As with everything in life, there are pros and cons.
PRO:
I can get published and I can have control over many aspects of my work.
CON:
You don't have resources to help you polish your work or to promote it.
Whether we are looking at the opportunities of technology or the old traditions, there is one thing that is unchangeable: the reader!
If you don't have an audience then you don't have a career. It's that simple.
Despite flaws in grammar, spelling, or formatting, a book is only as good as it's story.
Despite a good story, a book is only shared if published.
Despite publication, a book is only known by it's promotions.
Despite any other form of promotion, word-of-mouth from the readers is the most valuable and effective means of gaining an audience.
The only way any author survives
is by the love and support of their readers!
THANK YOU TO ALL MY READERS!
