The Only Constant...

CHANGE

Nothing is perfect and everything changes.
Just when you think you have it figured out, you realize it morphed into something new.  It evolved and grew.
Writing is that way and for those authors who strive for excellence,
this is a double-edged sword.
WHY?
Simple answer – we want to mature and improve, but then we look back and see the errors we made on our way to becoming the writers we currently are.
I, for one, always want to provide my readers with the best product I can.  Being a storyteller, the most important thing to me is the tale, but that isn’t where things end.  No, that is just the beginning.
It is important to have good grammar and punctuation.
This is harder than you expect since different countries
have different styles.
Plus, there are differences in language within a country,
depending on the geographic location.
There is also format.
There are so many different ways to structure a story.
The type of emotion you are trying to evoke can determine how you present it, but it can also depend on the point-of-view (POV).

There are always more things to consider than just the plot.
This leads conscientious authors to struggle with wanting to "fix" their work .  Their hopes are to make it better.
But you can't always go back... even when you want to.
Sometimes, all you can do is move forward.
Whatever fingerprint I leave behind, marking my place in this world, I want to know I did my best... tried my hardest... gave my all.
Whatever my legacy is, I want it to be worth remembering.
I pray I succeed.

My Book review of THE SECRET OF EXCALIBUR

The Secret of ExcaliburThe Secret of Excalibur by Sahara Foley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Exciting and Adventurous Read!

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but it definitely exceeded my hopes! The story was interesting and kept driving forward. The tale was intelligent and fascinating, putting a new spin on an old legend. I applaud the author - well done!
I was constantly surprised by the intriguing storyline. At first, I didn't much care for the arrogant Arthur Merlin, but by the end, I adored him. I thought Ruth and Daisy were admirable equals to Arthur and I liked the characters very much. I found I wanted to know more about them and I hope there's a sequel in the works!
I definitely recommend this novel to all readers. There are moments of steamy romance and hilarious banter mixed with a spectrum of emotions, action, mystery, and suspense. The author did a beautiful job of blending old lore with modern concepts that opened a universe of possibilities! I loved it!
