Heroines

Heroines Come In All Varieties!

Here are my top favorite heroines:
1.    MARY MAGDALENE Mary Magdalene (also known as Mary of Magdala and The Magdalene) is an important woman in Christianity. “She is usually thought of as the second-most important woman in the New Testament after Mary, the mother of Jesus.”  (quote from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Magdalene)

3.      Katniss - Katniss Everdeen is the main character in the Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katniss_Everdeen
4.      Bella - Swan Isabella Swan is the main character of the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyers.  http://twilightsaga.wikia.com/wiki/Bella_Swan

6.    Merida – Merida is a princess who’s also the main character in the Disney/Pixar animated film, BRAVE.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brave_(2012_film)
7.      Nightshade – A character found in several of the books that comprise of The First North Americans Series by Kathleen O’Neal Gear and W. Michael Gear http://www.gear-gear.com/ 
When I originally composed this list, I forgot to put Hermione Granger.
She is the lead female character in the Harry Pottery books.
I cannot leave her out as she is a fierce, intelligent, and kindly heroine whom I love very much.
